Macintosh users will find that most of what has been discussed here is directly applicable to using their mac. Mac users have applications on the dock bar and those not displayed are available under Finder/Go/Applications. Preferences is similar to the PC Control Panel. Photo, video,and movie software is included with the mac. iWorks has word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation. Microsoft Office for mac is also available for those wanting to stay with that product.
A version of Open Office and LibreOffice are available for Mac's. They are compatible with Microsoft Office and other office suites and the files can be saved in those applications format.
