This site relies heavily on material that is readily available on the Internet. GFCLearnFree is the primary site that is referenced. It is well written and has some excellent tutorials. These tutorials cover the latest versions of many software programs well as the older versions. It also covers many non-computer subjects that are encountered in everyday living.
Another excellent site is In Pictures. As the name implies it relies heavily on learning through the use of many pictures. As of June 2011, it had tutorials for many software applications through the 2007 versions. This site is great for additional instructions or to learn from a different approach.
Another great resource is the reference guides available for free download at Custom Guides. They provide short guidance on the most used commands.
It is extremely important to learn how find help when you run into a snag. Most applications have a "Help" section that contains a manual and an index search. "Help" is extremely useful as you become more knowledgeable in computers. Another source of information is online searches for answers to your questions.
